Reiki.org.au is an initiative of the Higherself Society Incorporated.  The society sponsors a variety of projects that promote self-improvement and the raising of consciousness.

I believe that Reiki is a gift from the Creator--a loving gift that has the power of transforming your life and the lives of your loved ones.  Many know Reiki to be a powerful healing art--but, in fact,  it is much much more.  Reiki is a way of life and a way of thinking.  Reiki has transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people world wide--many of these people may not even be aware that their remarkable life changes are attributed to the kindly act of a Reiki Master.

Reiki is not a religion--but fits beautifully with all doctrines and with all denominations--because it is based on the principle of love and respect for all of creation.  Reiki Masters witness the work of the Creator that is within them and willingly and joyously look for opportunities to co-create--in much the same way as a child thrives in helping his earthly father.

Dr. Mikao Usui, a Christian minister working in a Japanese Christian Boys' School, is the founder of the Reiki System.  After his discovery of the Reiki energy, the generous and pious Dr. Mikao Usui spent much of his early Reiki life healing the sick--his work among the poor is widely documented. 

Dr. Mikao Usui saw Reiki as a gift from God, and he taught the Reiki way freely and willingly to all those who wished to adopt it. 

I will expand on his work and his achievements on a later day.  But, for now, it is important for you to realise the fundamental truth about Reiki--one truth that has unfortunately progressively become tainted by elitism, bickering, jealousy and greed--sad ego related muck that seems to find its way in all God's gifts to humanity.  This fundamental truth is ...

EVERYONE IS A REIKI MASTER

You are already a Reiki Master because you can do what all Reiki Masters can do--that is, you can become an instrument for healing and be a co-creator with Source Energy--the Spirit of God that lives within you.

I came to Reiki after finding a book about self-healing and Reiki symbols.  I immediately started to apply these symbols after devouring the book in a matter of hours.  I felt the Creator's life energy flowing through my hands and had remarkable results.  I then gave the book to four like-minded friends and they too had similar experiences.

Since then, I have had the pleasure of introducing Reiki to many of my friends and loved ones, and they too, in turn are now doing the same. 

It is now my intent to provide as many resources and as much information as possible about Reiki to everyone who is interested.

Some Reiki Masters believe that Reiki should not be given out for free--this is not necessarily a greed issue. 

Accordingly, I ask that if you take any form of spiritual energy (in whatever form that may be) from this site, you must give an equal amount of energy to somebody else--there are many ways you can do this.

 Free Reiki Self-Healing

This simple meditation exercise can help bring order where there is chaos, and restore your body and mind to harmony.

If you are new to Reiki, this meditation will provide you with a "taste" of the good things that are yet to come.

Ardent faithful or atheist, young or seasoned, rich or poor, coloured or plain white, saintly or sinner--no matter who you are or what you think you are, you will all take great benefit from performing this self-healing meditation.

This is one of the first meditations I learned from Judith and it has to be one of my favourites.
